Privacy Policy
Racki is a flashcard app for reviewing vocabulary from your Duolingo courses. It is an independent companion app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Duolingo. This policy explains what data is and isn't handled when you use it.
What Racki collects
Nothing leaves your device. Racki has no account, no sign-up, no backend server, and no cloud sync. Your profiles, progress, enabled words, and settings are stored only on your device. We — the developer — cannot see, receive, or transmit any of it. If you delete the app, that data is gone with it. The vocabulary content is bundled inside the app; Racki makes no network requests of its own except to display ads (below).
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Racki shows a single banner ad using Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). There are no pop-up, full-screen, or rewarded ads. To serve ads, AdMob automatically collects and shares:
- IP address (used to estimate approximate location)
- Device and account identifiers, including the advertising ID
- Your interactions with ads
- Diagnostic, crash, and performance information
AdMob uses this data to serve ads (including personalised ads where you have consented), for analytics, and for fraud prevention. The data is encrypted in transit and shared with Google. Consent and your choices
On first launch, Racki shows Google's consent prompt (UMP). If you are in the EEA or the UK, you choose there whether to allow personalised ads, and you can change that choice later in the app's settings. You can also reset or limit your advertising ID at any time in your device's privacy settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have rights to access, correct, erase, or object to the processing of your personal data. Because the developer holds no personal data about you, any request relating to ad data should be directed to Google using the links above. If you are a California resident, you have similar rights under the CCPA/CPRA; the same applies.
Children
Racki is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly serve personalised ads to them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
